Amy was very pleasant, professional and attentive. I’m grateful to have experienced her services and I felt so much better at Performance time!
Thank you!
It must be nice to be the best part of everyone's day! 🙂
I've been having chair massages from Amy for several years and she's fantastic. She uses just enough pressure to work out the tension but not so much that its not enjoyable. I can't wait to book a full body massage with her!
Every day my feet hurt. Every evening I begged my husband to rub my feet while we watched TV. Though sometimes he’d massage my feet for an hour at a time, it barely put a dent my plantar fasciitis symptoms. And as soon he finished, my feet would ache just like they had before he started.
Enter Amy Ritter of Selah Massage and Bodywork. I described what I was going through and she explained that even though my feet hurt, the problem stemmed from shortened calf muscles. She showed me that those muscles extend around the heal and attach at the bottom of my foot; lo and behold, at the exact epicenter of my pain. My husband could rub my feet all day but it would never solve the problem.
For what felt like one glorious hour, she methodically and patiently performed deep tissue massage during which time my calf muscles relaxed and released. I don’t remember if she ever touched my feet, but when she had finished, they didn’t hurt anymore. What had been a constant and very painful problem for weeks was completely gone. It has never returned in over seven years since. In response to what Amy taught me about the anatomy of my calves and feet, I stopped sitting at the breakfast bar in our kitchen for extended periods of time without being careful to adjust the position of my feet, and I found a new perch for working on my computer. (Amy helped me figure out that those stools had been the main culprit in causing the problem.)
One of my recurring pleasures in life is not only receiving massage from Amy Ritter, but recommending her to friends and relatives, and even acquaintances. Time and again I’ve benefited from her intuitive sense of what I need, the type of massage, amount of pressure and time spent in each area, as well as her great advice that has helped prevent and reverse problems. Being her client is putting myself in the hands of someone I can trust and the presence of great skill and generous kindness. It’s a gift that I can’t give myself too enough.
Amy was amazing. She resolved my muscle injury and provided a relaxing experience. She is knowledgeable and great at explaining why she is taking a specific approach to resolve the issue. Highly recommended.
Amy is an artist! you can tell she really loves what she does.
I have lived in Minneapolis for 3 years and have tried many different places for massages. Amy is first person I have seen that combines muscle work with relaxation. After the massage, my pain is relieved and the techniques she uses allows me to relax and feel pampered.
Absolutely wonderful. Best massage I've ever had.
Amy has a way of creating a very warm and inviting environment. The music, lighting, temperature of the space is very calming and relaxing. Her voice and tone as she works is calming as well. When I have had the gift of her message, I always leave refreshed and relaxed. Thank you Amy!
Amy really knows her stuff. Her specific methodology, music, and relaxing environment all around, plus the way she consults with you before and during the message is second to none. So, so lucky to have such a great massage therapist in my life. She actually saved me many dollars in the hospital, by noting that my spine was out of whack, which was causing my migraines. Cool...
